DIY Tassel Garland
Have you noticed that everyone and their mom has tassel garland on instagram these days? You could shell out $30ish bucks to buy it already made but why do that when you can make it on your own for a couple bucks? I had all of the supplies already so I literally spent no money on this project. The tissue paper wasn't even new! Since I cut it into skinny strips it didn't matter that the pieces were a bit crinkled.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Tissue paper
- scissors
- tape
- sparkle tape (optional)
- white kitchen twine
STEPS:
- fold up 1 piece of tissue paper and cut into strips. I just eyeballed it and cut them about 1/4 of an inch or so.
2. Gather strips into 3 separate sections. Take each section individually and twist it in the middle.
3. Take all three sections and twist them all together.
4. take the now 1 big twist and bend it in half.
5. I used double sided tape and wrapped it around the loop and then wrapped the glitter tape around that (because the glitter tape wasn't sticky enough on its own)
